Abyssal Forge Cover Art (watercolours) by do-you-sell-crisps Abyssal Forge Cover Art (watercolours) by do-you-sell-crisps
Exactly what it sounds like! Temporary cover art for Ponydora Prancypants' fanfic, The Abyssal Forge, sequel to the fantastic The Flight of the Alicorn.

Beautiful design! Love the border and the design of the submersible and sea pony...

I need to check my deviantart page more often ^^;

Thank you for the lovely comment! Though I wish I could take more credit for the design of the seapony and the submarine. Ponydora gave a small description of each and I just ran with them. So really, the credit goes to him.

Also, I'd just like to say that I'm a big fan of your artwork! In particular, I simply adore the picture of the airship you did. Everything about it is magical -- the rich colours, the composition -- and oh man, the details! You even worked in Twilight's Cutie Mark in amongst the stars. I wish I could paint like that :)

Darn it! There's a sequel now? I still haven't read the first one!

...

Don't give me that look, I've been busy. :P

Nice cover, at any rate. Very Jules Verne-y. :)

You got featured on eqd drawfriend 723 in case you didn't know! Great job with the watercolours; out of curiosity was the art inspired by a Tintin of 20 000 Leagues Under the Sea cover? High quality composition!

Haha! Honestly, I didn't even think about that, but I loved Tintin ever since I was little. Now that you've pointed it out, even though I wasn't consciously thinking about it, I'm certain it must've been on my mind somewhere...

Naga Ponies, OH MY!

Looks great Dreams, keep up the arts!
Bu, don't forget the writing either! (I's still drooling for more Not a Cold Dark Place ;3)

Was I the only one who fell in love with Cata's Vashj'ir starting zone? (ok so I was having possibly TOO much fun with my bugged out 465% speed seal form! So sue me ;3 I love underwater exploration!)

You'd have to drag me away kicking and screaming to get me to give up either! :D

I admit, I had to look up what Cata's Vashj'ir was, but after seeing screenshots of it, I don't know how you couldn't fall in love with it. I haven't played WoW in years, but looking at that place makes me want to explore every nook and cranny of it :)

It was a favorite zone of mines when the game launched. It is MASSIVE and the history behind the Naga's world was amazing. You actually got to take the form of a historic figure in a battle they had. It's worth playing that vast sea world just for that story arc alone.

If anything, WoW had a great sense of exploration. I love exploring. I even loved MoP till I hit 90.

I for one have no intentions of ever pulling you away from either of your works <3
Though, maybe poke you from now and again to see how progress is going to remind you there *are* those still waiting for more of your stories :p

Also, not sure if I commented on Fimfic about it, but I adored your scanned version of the letters to Santa story. Sweetie will blind you with glitter, as you end up tripping up on one of Scootaloo's many Home Alone themed booby traps. Yes, Scootaloo is best Macaulay Culkins.

Great, now I have to scour the earth for a Scootaloo/CMC themed story of being home alone with dimwitted burglars trying to steal from the children whilst their sisters and parents are away...
